The festival began today!!! So much time and work all leading up to these next 16 days. The morning was pretty hectic after having a crazy day yesterday. i found myself rushing around to find bottles of water and cold calling the volunteers to do extra shifts…so much for planning.
The whole way through though I was so proud of the volunteers and, I have to say, myself. I felt like I’d really achieved something - and it’s been a while since I’ve said that.
Seeing as everything’s still coming together for the next few days, the rehearsals are a little crazy but the finished product is going to be amazing. There was a little hiccup this afternoon and then it was straight onto the opening event.
From my point of view, things went pretty smoothly overall, the show was beautiful and mesmerising - perfect for the opening! It was so enjoyable and I loved seeing the public, who were so varied, really getting into it.
I can’t wait to see what’s next. 15 more days!!!
